How To Take Care Of Your Skin

As is usually the case with things that are good for your health, maintaining excellent skin is a matter of doing the right things consistently.
The first step is to be aware of the routine that you should be following on a daily basis, and then you need to put that routine into action. A good skin care routine to follow involves just four steps:
Cleansing the skinSkin toningSkin exfoliationMoisturizing
The first step to good skin care is always cleansing. This step simply removes dust, grease, oil, and other pollutants from your skin. These things can cause damage to your skin, so getting rid of them is crucial. All you do, is spotting your face, as well as your neck, with a cleansing cream or lotion, which you can purchase from any high street pharmacist. Simply take the cream and massage it into your face and neck, using careful upward strokes to apply it. The best way is to use a tissue, or even a pad of cotton wool, to spread the lotion across your face. You mustn’t rub; you need to use a patting motion. You need to cleanse twice a day; usually in the morning and the evening. Water soluble cleansers are the best type to use.
The next step in your new routine is toning. This step is optional, but highly recommended. You can think of toning as a way to finish off cleansing properly; it removes any dirt, or oil that your cleansing missed. It also helps to remove any excess cleansing cream that is left of your face. You don’t have to tone your skin daily, and can be saved for days in which your skin experiences a particularly dirty environment.
Moisturizing is the next step that you should be following, and this is in actuality the most important part of the process. Moisturizers simply prevent your skin from getting dry.
